He’s baaaaaaaaaaaack! LeBron James is back in his hometown on Tuesday night, and you can bet that the boo birds will be out en masse for this one at Quicken Loans Arena, as the Cleveland Cavaliers play host to the Miami Heat in Free NBA Picks action.

Things are going well for the Heat right now, but Head Coach Erik Spoelstra just has to be wondering whether this team is really equipped for a run in the playoffs or not.

Miami has won five games in a row, but the last three have come against iffy teams, and the schedule isn’t getting any more difficult any time in the near future. The “Big Three” are really all that Miami has right now, as Mike Miller is not likely to play in this one, while Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers are both out as well.

The good news is that these three amigos from South Beach are coming off on an historic game against the Houston Rockets in which all three scored at least 30 points and had at least 10 boards. Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and LBJ combined to score 94 points, something that is just unheard of in NBA history, and they had 33 boards and 15 assists between them. It almost feels like the training wheels have come off of this offense, as it has put up at least 100 points in seven out of eight in one of the best offensive stretches of the season for this team.

Needless to say, Cleveland can’t be really happy about the way that this five game home stand is probably going to end. The team does have a win and an OT loss already to its credit here at the Q in this five game run, something that you don’t see every day. And why not? Samardo Samuels, Semih Erden, Antawn Jamison, and Anderson Varejao are all out of the lineup right now with injuries, most of which are season ending, and Baron Davis has only just barely worked his way back in the lineup.

It’s amazing to think that Davis has only played in six games since getting traded from the Los Angeles Clippers. He has scored a total of 35 points in his last two games since coming back from injury, and this might be the game to watch out for him since it is a big time spotlight game, and we know how much Baron loves that spotlight. He can’t do it alone, though. There are a ton of other players that need to step up and have their best effort in this spot, or the Cavaliers are going to get run off the court.

We love hearing LBJ saying that it “can’t get any worse” than it was the first time these two teams met here at the Q. He’s right. Miami isn’t winning this one by 28. Heck, we’re not even so sure that Miami is winning, period. This should be the Super Bowl to the Cavs, and it should show on the NBA odds.
